Minyan Shaleym is an independent, traditional
egalitarian minyan based in Brookline, Massachusetts that meets every
shabbat morning, as well as for Jewish holidays, life cycle events, and
other communal activities.
We are a diverse, multi-generational community made up of singles and
couples, traditional and nontraditional families. Children are also an
important element of our community and are always welcome and
encouraged to participate. Every Shabbat morning we have a children's
program for children from two and a half to six years of age.
Minyan Shaleym is volunteer-run with elected
officers.
Our members organize and lead all aspects of the service, provide
kiddushes and periodic lunches, and perform all administrative tasks.
Our services are in Hebrew and follow the
traditional
order, including P'sukei D'Zimra, Shacharit, and Musaf,
with a complete Torah and Haftarah reading and a d'var Torah.
Membership
in Minyan
Shaleym is open to all Jews regardless of ability to pay dues.
